Thanksgiving In Mississippi ๐Ÿฆƒ

This year, we spent thanksgiving in Mississippi with my great grandma Prewitt. While we were there, we had a lot of fun in her eleven Aker backyard riding bikes, playing football, and sitting by the campfire making s'mores.๐Ÿฆƒ
The first night we were there it was only 40°, but the rest of the time it was a lot warmer than that. During the time that we spent there we slept in a tent outside.
We were the first people there, aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents all got there after us.๐Ÿฆƒ
At first, the plan was to take family pictures on Thanksgiving but we were spending so much time eating and spending time with the family. So it got delayed for the next day. Here's a family photo that we took

Tom Landry

Here are some facts you might not know about "Tom Landry", Who for 29 years was the only coach the Cowboys had and who finished his NFL coaching Career with the third highest win total in league history.
Tom Landry was born on September 11, 1924, in Mission Texas. He Played professional football for the New York Giants for five years(1950-1955). Five years later he was head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. During the time he was coaching, he led the Dallas Cowboys twenty winning seasons in a row, many championship games, and Super Bowls. He was known for his suits in fedoras on the sidelines. Also his stoic expression. But behind that stoic expression was an intelligent mind that helps us with our Cowboys defense and the shotgun offense in NFL.

With defensive stars Bob Lilly, Randy White, along with Roger Staubach executing Tom's plays and strategies, the Cowboys reached the big game five times in the 1970s, winning Super Bowl Vl and Xll
by the combined score of 51-13.

Landry joined the U.S. Army Air Corps after one semester at the University of Texas, and flew (30) B-17 missions during during WWII before earning his discharge in 1945 is first lieutenant. His primary positions after returning to UT, were mostly defensive back and fullback. Also, even serving the team as co-captain in his senior year.
In 1990, Tom Landry was inducted into the Pro football Hall of Fame and 1993, he was inducted into the Cowboys ring of honor. After being diagnosed with myelogenous leukemia in May 1999, the coach
sadly passed away 2/12/2000.๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿ‘

In my opinion Tom Landry sounds like a pretty cool guy, US Army air Corps, that's awesome. Not only just been drafted into the pro football Hall of Fame, but he was inducted into the cowboys ring of honor  that's pretty amazing

Playing with the Spartans

My new football team is called the Spartans. We are a really good team. We've already had two games and won both of them. We are rocking it. So far, I'd say where the best team in the league. The first game I was only involved in one place, but in our second game I played almost the whole first half on offense๐Ÿˆ. I play wide receiver so I'm supposed to catch passes and score touchdowns. Speaking of which, I almost caught a pass but it was just out of my reach. Even though I didn't catch the pass, I was still pretty pumped up because I was doing a great job at blocking my guy especially when they ran "44 power". When the game was over, my dad was still on concession stand duty. I had to stay there for the game after that but I didn't have to watch it. A lot of my friends were still there because their brothers were playing in the next game so I just played with them.

The zoo

One Tuesday, (which was the Tuesday after Labor Day) we had a homschool field trip to the San Antonio zoo. We went with a friend who had zoo passes that they got for Christmas. The first thing we saw was the flamingo.
We learned that flamingos get their pink from the pigment in the shrimp and
algae that they eat. Then, we went to see the spectacle bear. The reason it's called a spectacle bear is because it has spectacles around it's eyes. Next, we went to see the Komodo dragon and the python.,

I'm pretty sure they don't put them in the same room, otherwise they probably eat each other. After that we went to see the monkey's. When we touched the glass, the monkeys jumped on the glass and started smiling at us! Last we saw the crocodiles. The The crocodile and the crockadial snapping turtle in the same cage because they won't mess with each other.

Down town tour

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, we have this workout at the YMCA called "Kids Fit". It starts at 8:30 and we're there for an hour. We used to go to archery after kids fit, on Tuesdays. But we don't do archery anymore. Today was a Thursday, and after kids fit  (instead of just going home like we usually do) we went to a field trip in New Braunfels.

My Summer Vacation

This Summer was really fun.My family spent most of are time with our cousins. One time we went to the Corpus Christie beach. It was really fun,but we all had really bad sunburns. in the time they spent at our  house,(which was twice during the summer) we did two volleyball camps and a VBS! the first volleyball camp,I didn't participate in. I did the second one though, and I learned how to serve overhand and underhand! we also took them to the movies to see "Box Trolls" and "Padington". I had a lot of fun with my cousins this summer and I hope we can do it again next time!

My field trip to Simpson

I woke up wondering what time it was, so I picked up my clock and it said 7:48 AM. So I got up and right then, my mom walked in the hallway telling all of us to get up because today we had a field trip. So we all got up, went to the breakfast table, and got the cereal that we wanted to eat. When we were done eating we all took showers.when we got out, my mom told us that we had to wear a T-shirt pants and tennis shoes. So I grabbed my Nike T-shirt my Levi pants and my black and white striped Nike shoes. Right before he left my mom told us that we had to grab our iPods and iPhones so we could take pictures while we were there. On the way to the field trip we listen to our audiobook in the car like we always do. When we got there we walked in there were two small room one of them is the one with the front desk and the other one couldn't see what was in it, so I walked in and when I did it was awesome, there was racing equipment everywhere, racing gloves, racing helmets, racing shoes, and Racing pictures.
We had about five minutes to take pictures until the tour guide called us into a different room. This room was much bigger than the other Ones. There were big pieces of cloth hanging from the ceiling and they were shaped like a cross. I was wondering what it was, I decided I should just keep on listening until eventually he mentioned them. He said that they were parachutes for drag racing to slow the cars down.
He said was that we had to split into two groups half-and-half because there was too many people so it would be hard for everyone to see. So another guy took our group and the first thing you showed us with the The seatbelts were kind of like baby harnesses because of the way they buckle up
 Speaking of which…
So are the seats. While we were in the same area he showed us these, there called Hans. Stands for head and neck support.
These are used to keep racers from breaking their neck. It hooks onto your home so when you crash your head doesn't go all the way forward and break your neck, instead just goes forward a little bit. After that we went on to the helmets and he showed us the assembly line there was a separate room that he took us into you and that's where all the helminths got painted
When the people are done painting the helmets they stick them in a room that they call the oven and it usually takes the helmets 30 minutes to dry
After that he took us into the smaller room and that was the room where he tested the helmets to make sure that they didn't break during a crash. So what he did was he hooked up the helmet to a pulley machine that sort of looked like this
He pool salmon up and then he drops it on the same spot twice to make sure it doesn't break so like in a car crash when the Driver hits his head on the same spot twice a helmet doesn't bust. When he was done showing us that he took us all the way back to the front to the part that we haven't seen yet. He was showing us A picture of Mr. Simpson the one who created a flame retardant suit. When he spread the word no one believed in so he proved it, he put on the suit and he told the guys who work for him to spray him in gas and douse him with flames and then after five or ten seconds put him out.
The suits aren't fireproof just fire retardant the fire can only stay on the student from 5 to 10 seconds which is as long as it would usually take for the driver to get out of the car and be extinguished by his crew. After that we were pretty much done so we headed back to the first room for five minutes. On our way out they gave us all goody bags. They had to Simpson stickers, a keychain, and a catalog.

Toyota Plant

So, it all started off at 7:15 A.M. When my alarm went off and I caught my dad sneaking quietly off to work. And he told me to help out mom, because she didn't feel good. About an hour later, I quietly got the toaster oven out and made everyone waffles. At that time, my sister walked into the kitchen to help me out. Eventually everyone else woke up and came to get the waffles with Nutella and bananas.

After breakfast, we went to the living room and listened to an audio book for about an hour and a half. Then, we all got showered and ready to go on a field trip to the Toyota plant.when we got there, we took a couple of pictures...

and watched a video about how the Toyota plant works. When the video was done we headed on to the factory. We had to leave our electronics in the car because we weren't allowed to take pictures, so I don't have any more to show. They took us on a tour and There were several robots and my favorite one was called the Zilla. When we were done, we walked to the car and on the way my sister asked a bunch of questions to the tourist who couldn't even answer all of them. When we got home I basically just started on the first thing you read๐Ÿ“ฒ.
